ABC2 ~ Halloween in a Hurry & Fast Fall Cards

Good Morning!  Thank you to everyone for playing along with our first challenge last week and for helping to spread the word about our new challenge blog!  We were amazed at how many entries we had and they were 'All Beautiful Cards'.  If you are looking for the winners from last week please see my post below.

On a personal note I'd like to take a minute and express our thoughts and prayers for those of you who are in the path of the storm that is traveling up the east coast.  I live in NE Pennsylvania and I will most likely lose my power (so if I'm not around you'll know why).  Our local schools have already closed for today and tomorrow.  Everyone, be safe and try to stay dry!  I'm hoping this storm won't be nearly as bad as they are saying.

Halloween in a Hurry
Halloween is approaching quickly and if you're like me you still haven't finished your Halloween cards.  No problem, because today's challenge is going to fix that.  'Halloween in a Hurry'!  This week we are making Halloween cards that are made in 30 minutes or less.

 OR

Fast Fall Cards
If you've already finished your Halloween cards then you sure are on top of things, but we still want you to play along so go ahead and show us your fall themed cards that you made in 30 minutes or less.

Don't have a blog?  No problem, we will visit your online gallery, simply use the keywords ABC2 for this challenge and enter using the link from your online gallery.

ABC1 ~ New to You ~

Hi everyone and welcome to our first 'ABC' All Beautiful Cards blog challenge.  Thank you for the wonderful response to my first design team call and to our new followers.  Be sure to spread the word and help our blog challenge grow!  And with that said, I'd like to present our very first challenge!

~New to You~

Since our blog challenge is new to you, I thought it was only fitting that we create cards using something 'New to You'.  Please state what the 'new to you' item(s) are within your post.

It can be a stamp you just traded for, a new ink pad, ribbon your friend gave you, or even some paper that you bought long ago and haven't opened yet.  It doesn't have to be brand new, but it should be 'New to You' and something that you've never used before.  You can even create a card using a new technique.

Remember cards only!

Don't have a blog?  No problem, we will visit your online gallery, simply use the keywords ABC1 for this challenge.

Here are a few samples from our new design team to get you started!  Be sure to leave a comment for them or better yet visit their blogs!

Meet the New Design Team!

Good Morning!  Today I'd like to introduce our very first 'ABC' Challenges design team!

Patty Gorka - Blog Owner
LaLatty's Stamp 'N Stuff

Some of you may know me as LaLatty from my blog or from Splitcoast stampers.  LaLatty is a nickname my husband gave me years ago when we first met and it just sort of stuck with me.

I'm a stay at home mom to 3 wonderful children and the best hubby in the world.    I have a 3 year old girl who just started play school last month and she'll always be my baby.  I have a son who is 7 and lately he's been keeping me busy with soccer and boy scouts.  And my oldest child is Danielle and she's a senior in high school this year.   They are growing up so fast!

I've been stamping and making cards for nearly 9 years now and at the beginning of last year I finally became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  My husband convinced me to start up my own challenge blog since this is something I've always wanted to do and so here it is! My older daughter came up with the name 'ABC' Challenges so I hope you like it and that you will play along with us and help our challenge blog grow!

Danielle Vincent
I've been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for 16 years – this is how I pay the bills but my real passion is cardmaking and scrapbooking! I got introduced to cardmaking about 4 years ago and well... what do I say...I immediately became addicted! After following some amazing blogs for the past couple years, I decided that it was time to challenge myself and take my creativity to the next level - sharing my work with others and trying new things. I started my blog - D's Crafty Connection - in February 2012 and immediately jumped in with both feet and started entering challenges. I haven't settled on one definite style yet - I'm still playing around and having fun as I continue to challenge myself.  One of my dreams when I started this blog was to be asked to be a design team member for a blog.  I am so thrilled to have been asked to be part of Patty’s new ABC Challenge.
I LOVE all kinds of craft products but am especially partial to Stampin Up. I was introduced to Stampin Up products by a wonderful demonstrator that I call E.T - for Evil Temptress because everything she showed me I wanted to have! About two years ago I became a Stampin Up demonstrator. This hobby of mine started as a form of stress relief and has turned into the most wonderful obsession I could have ever imagined.  I’ve met some amazing people through this hobby.  I’m totally thrilled when I know that I have inspired someone in some way as I am constantly inspired by many of you – so wonderful to return the favor.
I have a son who is a freshman in college and a daughter who is in middle school. My husband, whom I've been married to for 22 years, is incredibly tolerant of my card making obsession. I also have two little furry babies named Pele and Izzy (they are very cute and sometimes very naughty).

I'm looking forward to seeing your creations and visiting your blogs.  I applaud you for entering challenges and sharing your creations – it’s a terrific way to help yourself grow and be inspired.   Hugs and Happy Crafting!

Jackie Bowman
Kreate With Me 2

Hi Everyone!  My name is Jacquel Bowman & I'm so excited to be a part of the ABC Challenge Design Team!  I married my high school sweetheart 20 years ago & we have 3 awesome children....Reginald Jr.--my Navy Man!, Brandon & Bianca.  I was introduced to stamping 7 years ago & became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator a year later.  Sharing  my *obsession* of stamping with my friends & forming new friendships through my *habit* has been an incredible journey!  I'm looking forward to working with these awesome ladies & sharing more of my art with all of you!!!!!

Jeanette Cloyd
My name is Jeanette and I absolutely LOVE making cards! Therefore I am super excited to be on Patty’s very first ABC (All Beautiful Cards) Challenges design team.  Not only will I have an excuse to get inky and make a card for each challenge, but I will also get to see what all of the participants make. It’s a win/win situation. When I’m not making cards, I’m enjoying my family, hanging out with my online friends, or doing volunteer work (such as leading conferences, speaking engagments, etc). Did I mention, I'm an extrovert?

Lela Norris

I'm Lela and I live in Medina, Ohio right now.  My day job moved me here in 2005.   I've been married to my DH for 25 years and we have 2 sons who are both in college - yes,  I'm an empty-nester now!  They always say you'll have lots more time to stamp and scrap when you're kids are grown and I'm testing that theory.   I started scrapping in 2003 from a recommendation from a Career Coach the company I worked for hired for me.  I thought she was crazy when she brought me a stack of craft magazines and suggested I pick a "hobby" as I needed balance.  I ended up making a scrapbook of a trip we took to Finland and 17 albums later, the rest is history.  I was introduced to stamping at a scrapbooking convention,  I met an SU! demo who introduced me to the world of stamps and I started just by making Christmas cards but soon expanded as my stash of stamps grew.  I'm not sure I achieved true life balance because I still have a full time day job and I stamp/scrap alot but I'm loving every minute of it.    I mail 10-15 cards per week and my favorites cards are "Thinking of You" cards.   This is my first Design Team opportunity and I'm thrilled to be here.

Geraldine McCormick
Cards and Chocolate

Hi, I’m Geraldine and I live in Ireland with my hubby of 33 years.  We have six children some of them grown up now.  I discovered cardmaking 3 years ago and there’s no turning back now! It’s as addictive as chocolate. I don’t think I have settled on one cardmaking style yet I am still enjoying trying different things. I have found the papercrafting world to be very welcoming and friendly, people are so generous with their ideas and surfing the blogs can be so inspiring.  I am excited to be a part of ABC Challenges and look forward to your gorgeous creations!

Rosie Peterson

Hi my name is Rosie and I am happily Married to my best friend.  I have 4 children, 3 boys and a girl. They are all in High School.  I started scrapbooking 12 years ago and got into card making 6 years ago. I love crafting and it is my outlet that lets me keep my Sanity. I love to learn and always trying new techniques. I am a Pinterest and Youtube junkie because that where I learn so many new things. I am so excited to be on the "ABC Challenges" DT and look forward to meeting new friends.

Thank you to everyone who applied, it was a very difficult decision and remember I will have another Design Team call towards the end of December and you are welcome to apply again.  Be sure to check back tomorrow to see our very first challenge!

DT Call has ended

Good afternoon!  The DT call has ended and I'm currently in the process of selecting our new design team.  This is such a hard decision for me since all the entries were amazing!  Please don't be upset if you weren't chosen this time around.  I will be having another DT call towards the end of December for the next term.  The following DT term will run from Jan 7, 2013, to June 24, 2013.

In the mean time, feel free to post our blog challenge badge (posted above) on your blog and help spread the word!
Our first challenge begins next Monday!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
